About Vimutti Grove Vihara

Vimutti Grove was born out of a great realisation: The world we see out there is our own creation. All life circumstances unfolding, good or bad, growth enhancing or limiting, evil or virtuous, are just projections of this mind, and the mind itself is part of the illusion.
I realised that there is not much time left. And time itself is also a mirage... I needed to embrace the "now" fully as it was. At a moment of great lost, disenchantment and pain, there was also liberation, a monumental sense of freedom. My teacher called that: Vimutti, and a monastic dwelling was born in The Southern Highlands.
But Vimutti (Freedom in Pali) is more than a monastic dwelling, it is a place for inner knowledge, for acceptance of every moment as it is, for courageous introspection, for compassion toward the myriad of ways in which the trick of consciousness is played again and again while identification with this impostor "I" is born endlessly.

Vimutti offers a safe place for letting go of all our self-constructed walls and walk right to the dark side of our heart, where our hidden demons dwell. And this is possible because, as long as we are authentically and mindfully secluding our mind at the six sense doors where "form - name - and consciousness" coming together split reality in subject and object (hence a "me" here and "the world" out there), the reality that unfolds is beyond suffering and its causes.
The Buddha said: "I teach suffering and the end of suffering". May all sentient beings profit from this excellent teaching!
