We had the first mini-retreat at Vimutti with Bronwyn Hayter. The Buddha had received so many and beautiful flowers from Bronwyn's garden and the house radiated with Thanissaro Bhikkhu and Ayya Khema dhamma talks.

We have observed Noble Silence although, I have to admit, I was the one breaking it sometimes. It is incredible to see how this mind is always clinging at something, trying to be re-born endlessly.

Observing the breath while sitting, walking or lying down, we kept guard of the five sense doors to contemplate on how the five aggregates trick us all the time with this magical show: "I"

It was so rewarding to see Bronwyn so devoted to the routine and how much she wanted really to learn from seeing her own inner dynamic. She is not Buddhist and yet she has such a motivation to become a better person. She is very sensitive to the way this world is today, and she is very much in agreement with the Buddha's advise that it is our mind that creates the world we see.

It was really inspiring for me having her as a meditator in the very first retreat at Vimutti. I wish that her experiences during these two days pave the way for her to awaken and nurture her seed of enlightenment.

May all beings in all realms of existence be well, happy and peaceful!!!

Walking meditation

Walking the path...

Bronwyn was astonished at how difficult was to keep focus at the five sense doors with so much going on out in nature: the mind grasped at the myriad of objects at amazing speed!

Right here, right now...

This tree was up-rooted, cut off, and yet, it cling to life with much passion... Ah desire! It multiplies  endlessly!
